Maktab Islamia Girls Inter college is located at Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh in district Ayodhya, formerly known as Faizabad. The location of the college is on Mahboobganj-Goshaiganj Road near mehboobganj market. It is a remote place with no facility of getting education above primary school, specially for girl students. Most of the poor girls who could not afford to go to big towns/ cities were deprived of getting higher education and were confined upto class 5th only.

This genuine difficulty was felt by some progressive and responsible persons of UncheyGaon village and  all of them, led by late Syed Asadullah sahab decided to upgrade the already existing primary school called the Maktab Islamia Unchey gaon to Intermediate level for girls only. Late Syed Asadullah sahab as a manager and Syed Amanullah sahab as its president and the executive committee members worked hard in its mission and succeeded in opening the girl’s intermediate college which got recognition by the government of UP. Right from the beginning, the main goal of the college was to provide quality education to poor girls and at cheaper cost. So we were committed to charge low fee from the students. Abiding to keep the tution fee as low as possible, the college has always faced financial crisis from the time of its establishment.

In the beginning of 2005-06, we received an aid of Rs 6.00 lac for building construction by Maulana Azad Foundation committee, New Delhi and thereafter no further aid was available to this institution. Now our founding manager is no more, but the basic motive of providing quality education to poor village girls at cheaper cost remains intact.

By grace of almighty God and cooperation of public, the college is running very smoothly, giving almost 100% result in High School and Intermediate Board’s exams.

I am briefly giving the present status of the college.

Campus

The MIGIC campus is spread in two acres of land at Mahboobganj- Goshaiganj road near Mahboobganj. The campus is surrounded by 6ft high boundary wall with two large gates. It has one administrative block and 30 class rooms including 3 big halls for science laboratories and one for computer studies. The buildings are-well maintained having four toilets and piped water supply and proper electricity network supported by generator.

Education Facilities

The college has the facility to provide education from KG class to Intermediate. The medium of education in Primary class (Kg to class 5th) is English and then from class 6th to class 12th, the medium becomes Hindi. We have special facility to provide education for science subjects in Intermediate classes with separate well equipped laboratories of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. We have also started computer coarse in our college in a  newly constructed computer hall.

Besides Arts and science subjects, we pay special attention in improving Hindi and English language for High School and Intermediate students.

Staff & Faculty

Shri Parasnath Yadav is the Principal of the college. He maintains the discipline of the college and has succeeded in developing good relation between teaching staff and students and also to the managing body of the college in general. There are 23 teachers and most of them are specialists in their subjects with required qualifications.

Our Results

We are getting almost 100% successful students in High School & Intermediate Board’s exam. The board results of High School & Intermediate exam for 2018-19 can be seen on this website at the “RESULT” page. At present there are about 750 students who are getting education in this school with minimum fee possible.

No Govt aid is available at this stage but we are managing things with the help of  donations and the funds received from advertisements in the school magazine. One of the purpose of making this website is to receive donations from within and out of the country via online transfer. We have provided a separate page “DONATE” from which funds may be transferred directly to school account.  We request our readers for their humble contribution towards the welfare of our students and MIGIC.
